Carrie-Anne Moss

CarrieCarrie-Anne Moss (born August 21 1967 [1]) is a Canadian actor from Canada. After early roles on television her name was brought to international fame for her part of Trinity in The Matrix series (1999-present). Memento (2000) was her first major role. She won the Independent Spirit Award, Best Supporting Female, Red Planet (2000). Chocolat (2000), Fido (2006), Snow Cake (2006). Snow Cake (2006) was awarded the Genie Award, Best Performance by an Actress. Disturbia (2007). Unthinkable (2010). Silent Hill: Revelation (2012). Pompeii (2014). She also portrayed Jeri Hogarth on several television shows created by Marvel Television for Netflix, most notably Jessica Jones (2015-2019). While in Spain, Moss obtained a part in the role of Tara Clerk to Judge Nicholas Marshall in the drama series Dark Justice, her first TV appearance. In 1992, she relocated to the set of the show from Barcelona to Los Angeles. Moss was sacked from Dark Justice before the series was in its third season and the final one and was replaced by Elisa Heinsohn as Samantha "Sam" Collins. After her return, she was enrolled at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts Pasadena. In Pasadena, she was an actress, and later, she appeared in the Fox soap opera Models Inc. The show was cancelled in July 1995. She was the lead actress in a short-lived Canadian-made series titled Matrix. 3 Throughout the 1990s, she starred in various television series, like Street Justice, Baywatch, F/X: The Series, and Due South, for which she won the Gemini Award for Best Guest actor in the Drama. A lot of her film roles in the decade were in B films, including Flashfire (1994), The Soft Kill (1994), Tough Guy (1994), Lethal Tender (1996), Sabotage (1996) as well as The Secret Life of Algernon (1997).
