Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco (born Angela Maria Ani DiFranco) is an American and Canadian artist and singer. There are more than 20 albums that were released by her. The songs of DiFranco are classified as alternative and folk. But, they incorporate elements of hip-hop as well as jazz, and punk. Ani Difranco is widely recognized as an icon for feminist music. In the year 1990, she was among the first people to launch her own label independently. DiFranco was born in Buffalo New York on September 23rd of 1970, she was the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross) and Dante Americo DiFranco, who had made acquaintance while studying at an institution called the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father was of Italian descent as was her mother from Montreal. Her song 32 Flavors, was composed by her, and performed by Ani. The song debuted in 1995 on the sixth album Not a Pretty Girl. This song appears in the soundtrack to the Canadian romantic drama Better Than Chocolate from 1999. DiFranco apologized in 2013 when it became known that she had planned to host an event for three days in a Louisiana former plantation for slaves. The workshop was cancelled, but many (including this paper) didn't detect remorse. DiFranco offered a second apology a few days later. She is known for her Little Folksinger music, but she's collaborated with many music genres, including Pete Seeger to Chuck D. She lives in New Orleans. Ani diFranco and Kristen Ford are together. In 14 years she was writing her songs. They performed at coffeehouses, bars, and in the streets throughout her teenage years. DiFranco graduated from her Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts high school at 16, and enrolled in classes at Buffalo State College. Ani DiFranco is a writer and musician from the punk/folk genre, was just 25 when she released her 7th album Not A Pretty Girl and enjoyed even greater popularity in the public by releasing Dilate.
