Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco, is a singer-songwriter and Canadian American. Her catalog includes more than 20 albums. DiFranco's music is categorized as folk music as well as alternative rock, but it is also influenced by punk funk hip hop and jazz. The widely regarded feminist icon Grammy recipient Ani DiFranco is the mother of the DIY movement being one of the first musicians to launch her own record label in 1990. DiFranco was born in Buffalo New York on September 23rd of 1970, the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross) and Dante Americo DiFranco and Dante Americo DiFranco, who made acquaintance while studying at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father was Italian descent and her mother was originally from Montreal. Ani diFranco composed and performed the track 32 Flavors. The song is from her 1995 album Not a Pretty Girl, which was her sixth studio release. It was also featured on the soundtrack for the Canadian romantic comedy Better Than Chocolate, released in 1999. In 2013, DiFranco apologized when the news that she would be hosting an event for three days in a former Louisiana slavery plantation. It was cancelled but a lot of people (including the author of this article) weren't able to detect any regret. DiFranco apologized again a few days afterwards. She is known for her Little Folksinger songs, however she's performed with many musicians and styles that range from Pete Seeger to Chuck D. She lives in New Orleans. Ani diFranco and Kristen Ford are together. When she was 14, she started to write her own music. She performed them in bars and in coffee shops all through her teenage years. DiFranco has graduated from Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts at the age of 16. Ani's new baritone guitar is custom Alvarez created following several meetings between her myself and Chrys Johnson, who was the artist rep for Alvarez when the guitar was made. It features their System 600 preamp and has an all-solid wood construction, with a cedar upper mahogany back and sides, and an fretboard of ebony. She is at her home near New Orleans with her husband along with her two children, and Lefty the dog with a long leash who moves in and out of view as we talk. After three decades of her professional career DiFranco confesses to having different feelings when looking into the rearview. Ani DiFranco is a Pop/Punk Singer-Songwriter. She achieved musical hero status among fans and critics in her late twenties with Not A Pretty Girl, 1995. Dilate was even more well-known in 1996. The song, a pop rock hit from 1972 (You're a gorgeous girl) was composed by the American group Looking Glass for their debut album Looking Glass.
