Annie Murphy

Annie Murphy, also known as Anne Frances Murphy, was born in 1986. Her home country is Canada. She has done numerous films in Hollywood. She is mainly known for her role as Alexis Rose in the CBC comedy series Schitt's Valley that started in 2015 and ended in the year 2020. The performance was highly praised by critics and she won the Primetime Emmy Award. She was born within Ottawa Ontario Canada. Her parents both worked as instructors. Elmwood School, Ottawa is where she began performing in theatrical productions. She then enrolled at Concordia University from where she pursued a degree in theatre performance. After that, she took classes in the Canadian Film Centre Actor's Conservatory where she was instructed in acting. After moving from Toronto to Los Angeles, she began professional acting at the age of 22. Annie Murphy launched her acting career when she appeared in the 2007 crime-thriller telefilm Lethal Obsession. The actress continued to work as she played minor, supplementary characters in several films. Some of the films were very successful, like Story of Jen in 2008 Lick which came out in 2010 or another big smash A Windigo Tale. Additionally she appeared in Canadian television series such as Good God' aired in 2012 Rookie Blue which was aired that same year. She has proven she is able to work on many different acting projects. Annie's acting career started as a struggle for her. It was not easy for her to have a time proving her abilities and earning fame. She was also crowned the biggest star in the world of entertainment and Hollywood due to her outstanding performance. Additionally, she was a part of on many American TV Series such as The Beautiful Life TBL (2009), Blue Mountain State (2010), Beaut & The Beast 2012, along with a myriad of others. She's had a successful career working in a wide range of characters. Annie Murphy is a multiple awards-winning actress. The awards she has won include: Screen Guild Award PrimeTime Emmy Award Screen Actors Guild Awards three Critics Choice Television Awards one Golden Globe Award.
