Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise has been a writer, singer, and actress in America for the past 40 years. Most famously, she is known for her character Ginger Grant (in the 60s television show Gilligan's Island). Her stage work began in the 1950s, with Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. In the 1950s, she acted as a stage actor in several Broadway productions before gaining into the spotlight with her hit song 'Lil' Abner's debut in 1957. The same year, She recorded her first album of music It's time for Tina. Her first appearance in Hollywood was when she played Griselda in God's Little Acre, which was a 1958 drama. It received wide applause. Louise won the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the year category. During this time, she studied at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her tutor. The actress joined CBS in 1964 as Ginger Grant. Louise continued to have a successful professional career balancing Broadway TV with Hollywood and portraying somber, as opposed to her glamour-doll image was perceived. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. As SG-1, and for her role as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although over the past few years, she has also made her name as a successful director in numerous well-known TV shows such as Supernatural or The 100. Her birthplace was in Essex August 28th on the 28th of August, 1965. Her family then moved to Toronto to spend her youth. When she was selected in 1997 to play Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has been living there ever since.
