Ina Garten, an American writer of cookery cookbooks and Emmy Award-winning host of Food Network's longest-running program Barefoot Contessa that began airing in 2002 has 27 seasons till 2020. Ina started her career as a writer at the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget as well as policy documents. While she initially found the work fascinating and intellectually stimulating but she quickly became bored with it. Barefoot Contessa was then purchased. After selling the store it took her more than 18 years building it to the most successful shop. A number of other books and magazine articles followed. In the meantime, her Food Network television show too began its run and was a huge success. She also sells a range of items ranging from cooking materials to storage and equipment. Ina never went to an institution for cooking or worked in a restaurant. Ina is a self-taught cook. Ina is well-known for her easy approach to cooking and effortless entertaining. Some of her most popular recipes are Skillet-Roasted Lemon Chicken Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac and Cheese Beef Bourguignon Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Lemon Bars.
