Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American writer and designer who has been awarded numerous prizes for her work. She has been a vocal advocate for animal rights. Her movies comprise Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus ( 1969) as well as The Getaway ( 1972). She was raised by an artist family from New York and wanted to take up a profession in the field of arts. When she was an assistant to photographers She turned her focus towards modeling and acting. She was noticed in her first two movies and received Golden Globe Award for Most promising Newcomer. MacGraw became an international superstar after her film Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as an award from the Golden Globe. MacGraw was deemed the top female box-office actress in the world after only three releases. In 1972, her foot-prints and autograph were recorded on the wall of Grauman's Chinese Theater. The other films she has appeared on comprise The Getaway Convoy Players, TV miniseries The Winds of War and others. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography, of hers was released. MacGraw was married to three individuals.
